Cane crushing in many Sindh sugar mills remains suspended even after a month, triggering strong protests from growers. The key reason: no finalized government support price.
- šø Last year: Sugar at Rs 120/kg, cane support price Rs 400/maund
- š This year: Sugar 200+ /kg, mills still offering just Rs 400/maund
